Message From the President
Welcome to the website of International Association of Fire Fighter (IAFF) Local 1563 representing the nearly 900 Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters. It is my honor to serve as President of this local organization based in Millersville, Maryland. The International Association of Fire Fighters was formed in 1918 to unite fire fighters with the goals of better wages, improved safety, and greater service for their communities. Almost a century later, these goals remain unaltered. The IAFF Local 1563 is the voice of the Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters – the protector of the protector. We welcome you to learn more about our mission through this site and I look forward to meeting you at one of our many community events.

Anne Arundel County Professional Fire Fighters never stop working to make our community the best it can be. Even when they are building camaraderie playing team sports, they are supporting local charities and causes. One such example is the Metros, the Local’s softball team.
